2010 - Redline Year in Review

Categories:

Financing Mortgage

As we are quickly approaching New Years Eve I figured it fitting to do a quick summary of our year for those of you we don't get to speak as much as we'd like to.  This year was a year of many changes for Redline.

We turned the corner of 2009 into 2010 with a core team of 5 made up of our administrative/accounting assistant Raelene, our full time leasing manager Shawn, our general contractor Sean, along with Brett and I.  Nikzad (our first sales agent to join the team) and Pavan (our first mortgage associate to join) came to us in the late part of 2009 making us a full 7 strong.

With Raelene leaving to pursue her CGA we needed to fill our administrative position.  After sorting through many applications we finally came about hiring Nikzad's sister Neelam in April.  Neelam brings a degree in Marketing and a great adminstrative background that is now the backbone to our sales brokerage, office management and marketing efforts. She has been a fantastic addition to our group.

By this point in the year we had completely outgrown our original office space and needed to make a move.  Being as picky as Brett and I are this wasn't the easiest of tasks but we eventually settled on a high traffic location on 17th Ave SW.  Building got painted, illuminated sign went up, and we took possesion July 1st.  This has been a great move for us and we have quickly settled into our new home.

As August came about we found ourselves celebrating a few big milestones.  First was the 5th anniversary of Redline Realty Investments (our original founding company), then came the 1st anniversary of Redline Real Estate Group Sales and Property Management brokerage , our Redline Mortgage brokerage and finally our first complete year operating Redline Renovations.  All of these entities were alive and well prior to August 2009 but were operating under different banners, this was our first total year under the full Redline umbrella.

In the fall our property management business was growing at a healthy pace and we saw the need to add a full time adminstrative assistant dedicative to this business unit.  Again the search was on and we were blessed with many quality applicants.  We excitedly added Samantha to our team in November and she has had an immediate impact on our push to further improve customer service for our clients. We expect big things out of her :)

Another notable addition was in our renovation division. Jason (but call him 'Mo') was added as Sean's right hand man and we know the large scope of work could not have been completed as timely without him.

This is where we sit now.  We feel perfectly positioned to blast into 2011 with an improved and strengthened team to support all your real estate needs.  In the near horizon it looks like a few more team members will be joining us on the sales and mortgage fronts as we progress through the first quarter of the year.  Can't wait!

Look to our home page on the "whats new section" to keep up to date on the latest news coming from us all at Redline.

A couple exciting things are launching in the first part of the new year:

-Redline Express is launching by end of January (stay tuned for details). Exciting new sales options for our selling clients.

- The Redline Pulse newsletter will have its first issue released.  Will be a great free resource for our clients to keep in the know for all things real estate.  It will cover the full spectrum of what we do here at Redline.

- Redline will be launching some exciting and new investment options for those looking for some great real estate returns.

On the lighter side of things, we had a couple large milestones on a personal note as well.  Brett and his wife Leah gave birth to their first son Marshall during the first quarter of 2010 and have recently moved homes to accomodate their growing family.  Becky and I have recently got engaged and are making plans for our August 2011 wedding in Laguna Beach.

We've had a banner year and we can't thank you all enough for your support! We look forward to what 2011 has in store for all of us personally and in business - let's make it even better than the last!
