Matthew Saffran
My name is Matthew Saffran. I was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and raised in Airdrie. Sports have always been a significant part of my life. Growing up, I played a bit of everything, but my main focuses were golf, hockey, basketball, volleyball, and snowboarding.
In May 2020, I was involved in an electric longboarding accident that severely injured my knee. Despite two major knee surgeries and years of physiotherapy and recovery, I was unable to fully return to the sports I loved. In 2022, I decided to channel my passion for sports into coaching and founded a sports organization called Peak Youth Athletics. Since then, I’ve coached over 1,000 athletes and volunteered in the community, including coaching at W.H. Croxford High School. I also started a non-profit club team to help athletes achieve their goals without financial barriers stopping them.

Why did you become a realtor?
Giving back to the community is a core reason why I chose to become a realtor. Buying a home is a monumental life decision and a dream for many people. As a realtor, I’m able to help make that dream a reality.
What is your favourite part of selling real estate?
Buying a home is a monumental life decision and a dream for many people. As a realtor I am able to help people achieve that dream.
Where do you like to travel?
I haven’t been to a lot of places but my favourite place so far is Florida.
What are your favourite books, movies, shows, bands?
I love the Batman movies, Interstellar and Inception. I think Christopher Nolan is a great director.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I love golf! I think it’s a great way to stay active and spend time outside.
