Melissa McRae
Melissa is a 2nd Generation Realtor with huge volume experience which she brings to the Realtors she mentors and works with.
Melissa started in Real Estate after her mom passed away in 2009. Her intention was to learn more of the business and carry forward her legacy. Not having her mom to learn from, Melissa was part of two Top Producing teams for 5 years when she started to get volume experience and learn from some of the best in the industry – touch more deals and get better faster.
In her first year she was chosen to take a Real Estate Mastery Course as a standout rookie. She was mentored by an incredible business coach which gave her many of the skills she uses today. One of the many Coaches she has had in her career.
Each team she was on gave her tools that she has formed a baseline of her business to create a career based on relationships and good processes in Real Estate and changing the stigma of the industry and how the public views it. Melissa has done hundreds of transactions and is 90 percent repeat and referral and a Top Agent year over year but is incredibly passionate about training and mentoring other agents as well.
Melissa brings a vast education and Real Estate background. She has had Real Estate coaches, non-Real Estate Coaching for business and taken every type of Real Estate course possible to ensure she stays current and is always growing and learning more to share with agents.
Melissa has spent years learning about connecting with people and mentoring Realtors in the Industry. As an Instructor at the Calgary Real Estate Board and part time Manager in her previous role at her brokerage and Facilitator and Designer of the New Agent Training program, plus being a Top Producing Realtor, mentoring individual agents and still finding time to develop herself…she is someone who truly cares about culture and helping agents develop and do better.
Melissa has won many awards but truly feels that the biggest award is someone growing their business because of her.

Why did you become a realtor?
I am a 2nd generation Realtor. My mom was a Top Producing Realtor in Calgary for 30+ years and she passed away in 2009 and I decided to keep the legacy going. I literally said I would never be a Realtor….but I guess it found me… and I have her skills I guess ;) It came quite natural once I decided to jump in.
What is your favourite part of selling real estate?
Hmmm. I would have to say helping people maximize what they get out of a sale and rescuing listings or homes from hardships. Relationships mean allot to me. So does training agents so the industry gets better as a whole.
Where do you like to Travel?
Anywhere warm and sunny. Love water and boating and sunny destinations.
What are your favourite books, movies, shows, bands?
Fav books: anything productive, about leadership and management and self help or real things. I dont love a ton of fiction or hav time for it. I love live music and concerts. I sing the national anthem for Flames games, Stamps games and rodeos as a hobby. I’ve done that for over 23 years and love it. Most of my family is musical… I have 7 brothers, so family gatherings are fun! LOL!
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I am a 2nd degree black belt.
My mom put my in Taekwondo to protect myself against my 7 brothers. HaHa!
