Hi I’m Taylor. Nice to meet you. I’m a devoted husband and proud father. I’ve lived in Airdrie with my wife and 2 little girls since 2012. I’ve been in Calgary since 1999, when I moved from my home town of Rocky Mountain House.
Prior to getting my real estate license I was a salesman and sales manager in the car business for 17 years. Over that time I gained some hard-won sales and personal skills which transferred perfectly over to real estate and make me highly valuable and effective for my clients.
I have a passion for sales and marketing and I enjoy the gamesmanship of a tough negotiation and a hard fought deal. My clients love the way I guide them through the process, act in their best interest and save them a ton of time, money and stress. Get to Know taylor
Why did you become a realtor?
I wanted to have a career where I could transfer the skills I acquired in the retail automotive business over 17 years, while having the independence of running my own small business. I was also encouraged by a colleague who had made the same transition a year earlier.
Where do you like to travel?
Really enjoy France, Spain, England. Next on my bucket list is Amsterdam, and I’ll always enjoy a week at a resort in Mexico.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I love to take stuff apart and put it back together. I can fix almost anything. Cars, motorcycles, appliances, you name it. I enjoy it. I restored my Toyota truck myself from the wheels up. (except the paint, I hate painting)
What is your favourite part of selling real estate?
Solving complex problems and negotiating a great deal for my client.
What are your favourite books, movies, shows, bands?
A book that I’ve read several times that really shaped my values is The Fountainhead. I also loved Atlas Shrugged and I went on an Ayn Rand binge in my 20s and read her entire catalogue. I love everything Malcolm Gladwell, Chuck Palahniuk and Christopher Hitchens. My favorite self-improvement book so far is “How to Fail at Everything and Still Win Big” by Scott Adams. Bands… For the last couple years I’ve been on an EDM kick…. not really a band per se. It’s hard to explain.
