Terry loves real estate and became a Realtor® in 2019. She felt this was a perfect transition from real estate marketing and investing. She is excited to continue her real estate journey by helping others buy and sell their homes.
As a creative person, Terry has a great sense of design. She has taken classes for staging and interior design and is happy to help clients with budget friendly solutions and suggestions. She works hard to help client’s homes stand out, but knows when to call in the professionals.
In 2022, Terry authored/produced a 6.5” x 6.5” book called “ReSale Ready”. This easy to follow photo-book is filled with tips for getting a home ready for resale. It is also available on Amazon.ca.
When not doing REALTOR® stuff, Terry is a professional artist and shows her art periodically. Many or her pieces are quite large – 48″ x 72″ or larger, but she does do some smaller pieces. She was excited when a piece travelled as far as Vero Beach Florida and another went to Dallas Texas!!
Why did you become a realtor?
I became an agent in 2019 but had been a real estate investor for years prior.
Where do you like to travel?
When it comes to travel, several years ago my husband Mark and I went to Roatan, an island off the coast of Honduras. We stayed in a small resort next to the ocean and were able to snorkel off the dock. I don’t dive but the Canadian owners would take people diving. They also educated us about ocean health and protection. When it came to meals and relaxation, you could order your meals in the morning and if you wanted a drink you would just take one from the kitchen, simply writing what you took in a cup with your name on it. It was friendly and magical and we’d like to go back one day.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
Most people in real estate don’t know that I am a visual artist. I create large paintings and bas relief carvings and find that art and real estate work well together.
What is your favourite part about selling real estate?
My favourite part of selling real estate is when a property first goes live. The home is ready. Photos and other presentation materials are done. There’s excitement and anticipation and then the first showing request comes in!
What are your favourite books, movies, shows, bands?
I love to read and usually read before going to sleep. The books I like vary and I have recently re-discovered the Library for my books. I am not really musical but will have music in the background most of the day. When it comes to shows, my favourites have come from visiting New York – In the Heights, Rent, Wicked.
