Erica Tran
Born and raised in Calgary, Erica has a deep appreciation for the city’s diversity and a passion for helping people find their place within it. After studying interior design at the University of Calgary, she developed a keen eye for detail and a love for creating spaces that feel like home. Coming from an immigrant family, and having a background in the customer service industry, taught her the importance of communication, patience and respecting diverse cultures and circumstances. This background has instilled in her a compassionate and inclusive approach to working with clients from all walks of life. Becoming a realtor was a natural next step, blending her passion for people with her desire for continuous personal and professional growth. For her, the best part of real estate is seeing a client’s eyes light up when they find their perfect home or witnessing the pride and excitement when someone successfully sells their property. She is committed to making every step of the buying and selling process seamless and stress-free, tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique goals.
Why did you become a realtor?
Why did you become a realtor?: I became a realtor because I wanted to help people find their perfect homes or take the next step in their journey while being able to grow as a person and expand my knowledge. Real estate allows me to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives while constantly challenging myself to learn and evolve.
Where do you like to travel?
Where do you like to travel?: I haven’t had the chance to travel to many countries yet, but so far, my favorite destination has been Vietnam. It was an incredible experience to connect with my culture, learn more about my parents’ lives and how they grew up, and see firsthand how different daily life is compared to here. Plus, the food was absolutely amazing!Next on my travel list are Korea, Japan, Thailand for its beautiful lantern festival, and Hawaii!
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?: One thing most people don’t know about me is that I’m always looking for new challenges and hobbies. Currently, I’m learning how to powerlift and am excited to try Pilates with my friends soon! I’m always up for exploring new activities and having people to try them with.
What is your favourite part of selling real estate?
What is your favourite part of selling real estate?: My favourite part is seeing a client’s eyes light up when they find their dream home or feeling the pride and excitement they experience when selling a home they’ve cherished. Those moments make all the hard work worthwhile.
What are your favourite books, movies, shows, bands?
What are your favourite books, movies, shows, bands?: I enjoy books about self-growth, design, and fashion, especially those that explore both current trends and the history behind them. I also like watching shows that I can play in the background while still being able to follow along—right now, I’m watching The Mentalist and Suits. For movies, I usually go for feel-good comedies or sometimes action and sci-fi. My favourite movie is Everything Everywhere All At Once. When it comes to music, I listen to all types depending on my mood, but my favorites are EDM and indie/alternative.
