John Zemp
My name is John Zemp. I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. Family means everything to me. I grew up in a big family here in Calgary, which taught me how much the right home and community means. Now, my wife and I are building our own life in this city that I’ve always called home, this has helped me grow even more appreciation for helping others find their own place to settle. Having a background in investing and finance, I have found a love for real estate. I love helping people navigate the process feeling confident. My goal is to help others feel supported and informed in their real estate decisions.
Why did you become a realtor?
Why did you become a realtor?: I became a realtor because I’ve always had a love for investing and that led me to learn about finding value in properties. I have a passion for working with others and real estate is a great way to combine both investing and working with others.
Where do you like to travel?
Where do you like to travel?: The majority of my travel has been to the western United States and I have a special love for Arizona. My wife happens to be from Arizona so that works great, as we get to travel there quite often. I also spent 2 years living in Uruguay and I quickly fell in love with their culture and language.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?: One thing that most people don’t know about me is that I speak Spanish fluently.
What is your favourite part of selling real estate?
What is your favourite part of selling real estate?: My favourite part is being able to serve others and the relationships that are built as I do so. Selling or buying a home is a big deal and being able to ease the burden for others has been rewarding.

What are your favourite books, movies, shows, bands?: My favourite books are "The Intelligent Investor" and "How to Win Friends and Influence People". My favourite TV shows are ‘Better Call Saul’ and ‘Breaking Bad’. Finally, my favourite band is either The Beatles or Coldplay.
