Karla Linares
Hi, I’m Karla! I’ve been calling Calgary home for many years, and honestly — I love this city. The energy, the people, the way it keepsgrowing — it’s a great place to plant roots, and I genuinely enjoy helpingpeople do exactly that.
My background is a little different from most realtors. Istarted out studying Computer Programming, then spent time as a BusinessSystems Analyst, and for the last 15 years I’ve been an entrepreneur. That pathtaught me how to stay organized, think ahead, and actually follow through —which, in real estate, makes all the difference.
One thing I’m proud of: the majority of my clients comethrough referrals. That tells me the people I’ve worked with trusted theexperience enough to send their friends and family my way — and that meanseverything to me.
I work with both buyers and sellers, and I’m fully bilingualin English and Spanish — so if you’re more comfortable in Spanish, we canabsolutely do that. No awkward translations, just a real conversation.
When I’m not working, I spend winters reconnecting with myroots in El Salvador — the culture, the ocean, the food. It’s become one of myfavorite parts of the year. I’m also that person who will happily watch a truecrime documentary for three hours straight and call it a relaxing evening.
If you’re thinking about buying or selling in Calgary,Airdrie, or Okotoks — I’d love to connect. Book a Discovery Call and let’s talkabout what you’re looking for.

Why did you become a realtor?
Honestly, I fell into it through entrepreneurship — and then I fell in love with it. I’ve always been drawn to helping people solve real problems, and real estate is one of the most meaningful decisions a person makes. Getting to be part of that — and actually make it easier — is something I don’t take for granted.
Where do you like to travel?
El Salvador is my happy place. I was raised in Canada but my roots are Salvadoran, and spending time there in the winter has become something I truly look forward to — the warmth, the ocean, the food, the culture. It’s where I reconnect and recharge.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
Before real estate, I was a Computer Programmer. Most people don’t see that coming — but it actually explains a lot about how I work. I like things organized, I like having a plan, and I pay attention to the details others miss.
What is your favourite part of selling real estate?
That moment when a client realizes it all came together — the keys are in their hand, or the sale is done, and they’re just relieved and happy. Knowing I helped get them there without unnecessary stress is genuinely the best part of my job.
What are your favourite books, movies, shows, bands?
I’m a sucker for true stories — films and shows based on real events. And yes, I fully admit I love a good CIA or FBI crime documentary. My friends think it’s funny. I think it’s just good TV.
What is your favourite quote?
“Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” — John 13:34. My faith is important to me, and this verse is a daily reminder of how I want to show up — for my clients, my team, and the people around me.
